Recycling of Boards
Countrywide Signs have become Sold On Recycling
Countrywide Signs, one of the country's largest national boards erecting companies, can now offer our customers agreements to service their boards further, and give a collection and recycling service for all their FOR SALE and TO LET boards. Contrywide Signs believe this to be a major step forward in addressing environmental issues within the Estate Agency market.
Tony Williams, M.D. of Contrywide Signs states "all For Sale signs are made of correx plastic, which unfortunately is non biodegradable, and so they have a life expectancy of 500+ years and with millions being used each year and 85% of the boards ending up in land fills, it is a problem we must resolve now"
He further stated, "Countrywide Signs intends to lead the field in environmental waste and responsibility to legislation, there is no other board erecting company making such a commitment at present."
John Lynch, National Manager of Conutrywide Signs (NI & ROI) added, "Countrywide Signs in Ireland and Northern Ireland, as a group are delighted to be working closely with our customers, the Estate Agents, offering a solution to a continuing serious problem to the environmental disposable of correx plastic For Sale and To Let boards. Our estate agency customers can now state to their clients that they are following guidelines to disposable of old and damaged boards, and in turn doing their bit for the environment. As our parent company, Countrywide Signs UK Ltd., commenced this scheme, it gives our customers in Ireland and Northern Ireland the added insurance that we are in advance of any Government Waste Strategy and Duty of Care Legalisation."
Based on the number of boards erected each month, the cost of this service will be, per office, no more than the average cost to produce one board.
